An effective and frequently used way to get rid of ants is to use spray products or bait traps that contain pesticides, borax or certain chemical compounds. However, the contents of this product can be dangerous to health if inhaled or accidentally swallowed, especially for children or pets.

As a safe alternative, several natural ingredients can be used to repel ants. Here are some effective and safe ways to get rid of ants:

1. Sprinkle on cayenne, pepper, or pepper

A way to repel ants can be by sprinkling some chili, pepper, or pepper in areas that are often infested with ants, for example in the kitchen, cupboard, or food storage area. Spicy aromas are usually considered annoying and less liked by ants.

2. Use cloves

Cloves can also be used as a way to repel ants. This spice has toxic properties against many insects, including ants. How to use it is easy, you just put a few cloves in an area where ants often pass by or sprinkle clove powder in places where ants often nest in the house.

3. Spray lemon juice

Another option for getting rid of ants in the house is to spray lemon juice or juice on areas that are prone to being infested with ants. This method of repelling ants is considered effective because the aroma of lemon can cover the aroma of food which invites ants to come.

Apart from that, putting some lemon peels in places where ants often nest is also quite effective in repelling ants, for example in the kitchen or on house plants. According to some research, lemon peel can be poisonous to insects, including ants.

4. Spray with peppermintoil

8. Use eucalyptus oil

Eucalyptus oil has long been known to be effective in repelling insects, such as mosquitoes and rice lice. Apart from that, this oil can also be used to repel ants. To do this, soak a cotton ball in pure eucalyptus oil and place it in an area of ​​the house where there are lots of ants. Keep the cotton balls out of reach of children and pets.

Apart from using the various ways to get rid of ants above, close all gaps in the house where ants might enter. To get rid of ants in large numbers, you can spray liquid detergent.

Don't forget to always clean the house every day and remove or repair places that allow ants to enter, for example closing cracks in the walls. In addition, store food in tightly closed containers and wash dishes and cooking utensils immediately after eating.
