Various Basic Skin Care Series
Before applying basic skin care, you need to know your facial skin type and your purpose for using skin care. This will make it easier for you to choose the appropriate skin care content
The following is a series of basic skin carealong with the ingredients that you can adjust according to your skin type:
Using facial cleanser
Choosing facial cleanser can not be arbitrary. If you have facial skin that is prone to acne and oily, use a facial cleansing soap that contains glycolic acid or salicylic acid.
For sensitive skin, choose alcohol-free facial cleansing products so as not to trigger irritation. Meanwhile, if you have dry skin, use products containing hyaluronic acid, ceramide, or glycerin which can moisturize the skin.
Use moisturizer
After cleaning your face, you can apply the next basic skin care, which is applying moisturizer. This stage is an important step in the skin care process because moisturizer can overcome and prevent dry skin and maintain the skin's pH balance, so facial skin looks fresh and healthy.
Before applying a moisturizer, it's important to know your skin type so you can choose the right moisturizer, namely:
- For dry skin, use a moisturizer containing ceramide, petroleum jelly, glycerin, or hyaluronic acid which can moisturize the skin
- For oily or acne-prone skin, use products that do not clog pores or cause blackheads (noncomedogenic) and avoid moisturizers that contain mineral oil, cocoa butter , or petroleum jelly
- For sensitive skin, choose a moisturizer made from emollients that can moisturize and soften the skin
If you have sensitive skin, also choose a moisturizer in an ointment or cream preparation. These preparations generally do not contain preservatives, so as to reduce the possibility of an allergic reaction
Use sunscreen
The final step and one that should not be missed in the basic skin care series is applying sunscreen. This is important because sun exposure can cause skin damage and increase the risk of skin cancer
To prevent this from happening, apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more, at least 15 minutes before doing activities outside the home during the day. Then, reapply sunscreen every 2 hours or after you sweat or swim.
You can add toner and serum to your daily skincare routine. However, make sure the product you choose is according to your skin type and problem.
If you have special skin conditions or experience side effects from using several types of basic skin care, don't hesitate to consult a doctor. That way, you will get the best solution for dealing with skin problems and get appropriate facial care advice Label : Healthy living
