Aspirations are different from goals, yes. Goals are generally short term and can be realized immediately, for example you want to go to the gym when you get home from work. Meanwhile, aspirations focus on the future, which is about dreams and motivation to make them come true.
The Importance of Having Aspirations
Life is not only concerned with sleeping, eating, or daily activities. Sometimes, there is a desire that becomes an aspiration, for example making parents happy by taking them on vacation or pilgrimage to the "holy land".
To realize this aspiration, you will of course work harder. Hard work makes you feel various life experiences, from the easiest to the most difficult. That's why it's important to have aspirations, because it's not only a matter of life goals, but also self-development and maturity. In fact, it is this aspiration that will show your level of confidence, how confident you are in yourself.
Maybe at this point, you are still confused whether your wish is an aspiration or not. Come on, take a look at some of the signs that you already have the following aspirations:
- Have dreams or aspirations with good goals, such as wanting to continue studying for Masters, sending younger siblings to graduate from college, or build a house
