This Causes Menstruation Twice in a Month and How to Overcome Them

Panda eyes can happen to anyone, both male and female. To cover it up, some women often use make up or concealer. Even so, using make up is only to cover up, but it cannot eliminate complaints.

Causes of Panda Eyes

Panda eyes are generally caused by tiredness or lack of sleep. Apart from lack of sleep, panda eyes can also be caused by:

  • Crying too long
  • Being dehydrated
  • Smoking or consuming alcoholic beverages
  • Staring at computer screens and devices for too long

Not only that, panda eyes can also be caused by the aging process. With age, the body will experience thinning of the skin and reduced fat tissue and collagen. This will make the veins under the eyes pop out, making the skin tone appear darker.

Various Ways to Get Rid of Panda's Eyes

There are several ways to get rid of panda eyes that you can easily do at home, including:

1. Use a cold compress

Panda eyes are formed because the blood vessels under the skin around the eyes widen. To get rid of panda eyes, you can put cold compresses under the eyes to shrink dilated blood vessels.

It's easy, just wrap an ice cube in a clean cloth or soak a cloth in cold water, then place it on the skin around your darkened eyes for 15-20 minutes.

2. Sufficient fluid needs in the body

One of the causes of panda eyes is lack of body fluids or dehydration. Therefore, you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day so that you need enough body fluids. Lack of body fluids can make you sluggish and make your panda eyes more visible.

3. Using natural ingredients

To reduce the dark color of panda eyes, you can apply some natural ingredients, such as almond oil, olive oil, and aloe vera gel.

Several studies have shown that these ingredients contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce dark color and puffiness of the eyes. These natural ingredients can also moisturize the skin around the eyes, making them appear brighter.

4. Compress with a teabag

Tea, whether black tea or green tea, contains caffeine and antioxidants that can improve blood circulation in the skin and make it brighter.

To treat panda eyes, you can compress with a cool wet tea bag in the refrigerator, then hold it against the eye for about 15–20 minutes.

5. Elevating the head position while sleeping

This method can be used to remove panda eyes while reducing puffiness under the eyes due to fluid buildup. You can elevate your head while sleeping by stacking two or more pillows.

6. Avoid consumption of coffee and alcoholic drinks

Coffee and alcoholic beverages can cause mild dehydration, which can make panda eyes stand out even more. In addition, excessive coffee consumption also keeps you awake longer, making it even harder for panda eyes to disappear.

7. Using eye cream

Some eye creams, such as creams containing vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, or tea leaf extract, are known to reduce wrinkles and reduce the appearance of panda eyes.

Therefore, you can also use eye cream to remove panda eyes. However, the results were not instantaneous. You may need to use eye cream for a few weeks so that the panda eyes can appear lighter.

8. Get enough sleep

Fatigue and lack of sleep are among the most common causes of panda eyes. Therefore, to get rid of panda eyes, you need to get enough sleep, which is about 7-9 hours each night. Avoid the habit of sleeping too often or staying up late.

Even though it's not a serious medical condition, you still need to be vigilant if your panda eyes don't go away after a few days or weeks, especially if you've tried the various methods of removing panda eyes described above.

If this happens to you, do not hesitate to consult a doctor to get the right treatment.
