  • Weight loss dropped

Weight loss in cancer patients occurs because healthy body cells are constantly attacked by cancer cells. Weight loss occurs in a fast time, with no apparent reason. This condition is often the initial symptom of pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, lung cancer and gastric cancer.

  • Fever

Generally fever is a symptom of the body responding to an illness or infection, but it can also be a sign that the cancer has spread (advanced stage). Even so, frequent fever for no apparent reason can be an early sign of blood cancer such as lymphoma or leukemia.

  • Bleeding

Several types of cancers, such as colon and anal cancer, can cause blood to appear when defecating. Whereas in prostate cancer or bladder cancer, blood can appear when urinating. Sometimes bleeding can also occur in internal organs, making it more difficult to detect. Also, beware of bleeding when coughing or vomiting, and vaginal bleeding that occurs between periods.

  • Lumps in the breast or other limbs

Immediately check yourself if you feel a lump in the breast or other limbs, especially one that feels hard and gets bigger. Lumps in the neck, for example, can be an early sign of thyroid cancer and esophageal cancer.

  • Changes to the skin

In some cases, a mole turns out to be a symptom of skin cancer. It is best to see a doctor, if the mole changes shape asymmetrically, the edges are irregular, change color, increase in size, feel itchy, hard and bleed. Also be aware of other changes to the skin such as jaundice, hyperpigmentation or black spots, abnormal hair or feather growth, and reddish skin.

  • Fatigue and pain

Fatigue that doesn't go away even after resting is one of the early symptoms of cancer, such as leukemia. While cancer patients with colon, prostate, uterus and anus can feel back pain. Besides that you also need to be aware of complaints of pain when urinating, or during intercourse.

  • Cough that doesn't heal

Beware of coughing as a symptom of cancer. Especially if the cough is experienced, does not go away more than 3 weeks, especially if accompanied by shortness of breath, chest pain, and bloody phlegm.

  • Indigestion

Some types of cancer can cause digestive disorders such as difficulty swallowing, pain after eating, nausea, vomiting and flatulence. Also be aware of constipation or diarrhea without obvious causes, continuous flatulence, abdominal pain or anal pain or feel often needing to urinate.

  • Sweating at night

Sweating at night is a normal thing. However, this can also be a symptom of the early stages of several types of cancer, such as liver cancer to leukemia.

If you have a family member with a history of cancer, you can request a special routine examination. This examination will help detect other initial symptoms that can only be detected in the laboratory, such as calcium in the blood.
